One Source Talent is a scam!!!!!!!!!!

I received a phone call from One Source Talent as an invitation for an interview for November 12, 2011. I went on that day and was scheduled for a final interview on November 13, 2011.

On November 13, 2011 I signed the contract and paid $395.00 for pictures to be taken on November 19, 2011; $89.00 for initial set up and $39.99 for the first month (you have to pay EVERY MONTH).

My daughter (4 years old) refused to go back to have the pictures taken. People that represent One Source Talent are not qualified to work with children. They are not nice and do not know how to communicate with and approach children.

I called to cancel the next day, November 14, 2011. I called 4 times before being put in touch with someone who could help me". I explained to them that we are not interested in their service anymore/. They said they cannot help me at this point?. They pointed that I already made a decision and they will not refund the initial money that they had charged my credit card on November 13, 2011:. I asked them for my money back because NO SERVICES WERE PERFORMED at that point and I do not understand what I am paying for'. They were rude and disrespectful saying that if I am going to talk to them like this they are going to terminate the call|.

I am righting this for people who I want to save from this company:. So please do not respond on their emails or phone calls,. All it is lie!!!!

All they try to do is get your money!!! They do not care about you at all!!!

A REAL AGENCY NEVER ASKS FOR MONEY, ESPECIALLY LARGE AMOUNTS , UPFRONT. I WENT TO THEIR CASTING CALL TODAY AND THE WHOLE SET UP WAS NOT RIGHT. FIRST OF ALL THE CASTING CALL WAS AT 7 PM. 7 PM REALLY ???! On TOP OF THAT, the people THAT WERE INVITED WERE CREALY NOT MODELS, THERE WERE ALLLL SORTS OF TYPE OF PPL IN THERE THAT WOULD NEVER BE CALLED BACK FOR A REAL AGENCY. I sent in a pic,and my email. They liked my pic. They keep calling my house from mclean va. Written by tim on February 12, 2012 from new york, new york, US they are a scam!! period. i paid over $600 for headshots and $500 for initial sign up! what was i thinking? i wasn't, and that was a mistake. you should never have to pay for representation or services to be submitted for 'castings' how do i know they are even submitting me? and how do i know that they dont just sign everyone else just for the $ and not speak to them ever again? you should believe in yourself, and not have others fake believe for you    Tim Report

Written by awesome on February 11, 2012 from palm springs, california, US i want through one source talent and it is not that bad but the paying money is was a really hard decision for my parents. i didn't get any help and hadn't gotten any job call or email from them and when you are a talent and you log in too their website they would have a list of auditions and u would have to find it for your self. i have been with them now for 5 months and have got one job!! and they said i had a unique look and i would easily get a job, iwas really patient with them but no way am i going to keep payng 40 bucks a mont and get nothing out of it. i don't hate it i just dislike it. I've only been with them a short time but it's all been good so far. I think one source is more for an independent kind. I don't know much about big agencies but they tell you when to go to castings right? I also recommend John Casablancas though they are a higher price but seem really good(: Report

Written by anon on February 9, 2012 from los angeles, california, US also if your kid didnt wanna go back and shes 4 years old. maybe you shouldnt push her to do something YOU want! u have to kno that in this business NO ONE is nice and i mean no one!! i actually like thier prices way better than the management i went thru! now tht place is a scam! yet im successful due to my education in the industry... please please research the industry before you attack a company! do know that this entertainment is like a web! they are connected to directors, agents, casting directors...anything u say can go against your daughters career in the business! FACT! also just because they have an ad on craigslist does not mean they are scams or anything of the sort just means they are advertising in websites that most people look in..even big SAG agents do it..not bad thing..not trying to be rude but just stating reality for the uneducated!... Acting is an ivestment. you'll spend more money then you'll ever start making in it! true fact! they dont claim to be an agency therefore they may charge any fees!! if they are an agent then yes you shouldnt be paying crap just 20% of your buyout goes to the agent!! if you didnt all know that maybe this isnt the career for you. Usally I do research before I Apply but dumb me I forgot. but right after I signed up I Did the research. People said Tht you paided $400 (or something like that) for photos. which i get. But then I went on there facebook page and i noticed that they treated people different. For example I noticed some of the pics were really great and beautiful. On the other hand I saw some photos of kids/adults standing in a closet...... (waste of $400). Then The $50.00 is a whole different story. You shouldn't have to pay for this. I mean you could If you wanted to... but they have auditions On cragislist (sorry for spelling xD) or you can google them. My opinion is there not a scam. In alot of cases its the children who don't want to go through with it. You paid the money in the first place you shouldn't get it back because of your greedy child. Okay so overall What I mean is don't just sign up you can but just don't do it for fame. I also noticed on the facebook with the pics is that the worse you looked the less respect they gave you. Like i saw 40 year old men getting pics in closets (i mean really 40?!) Then I saw this really pretty 13 year old girl and she got AWESOME pics.
